The Woman Behind the Mission

I am a Police Inspector with a major city police department with over 23 years experience.

In 1997 my family's world was shattered after my brother, Emir, was murdered. Since then I've made it my mission to help support others who have experienced similar trauma.

Because I’ve experienced both sides of trauma, I can tell you that there’s a lot to be gained (on both sides) if law enforcement is more trauma-informed, if we have greater understanding of the causes and impact of murders like this, the people behind the statistics.
