Altovise recently spoke at the Stop Violence Conference: Emerging Trends and Innovative Strategies, in Fort Worth Texas on September 19-21, 2017.

At this conference Altovise discussed the impact of trauma on individuals and how being trauma-informed teaches officers how to complete their duties without re-traumatizing those in the community they serve.

Also in attendance was Maryum Ali, daughter of Muhammad Ali who was the keynote speaker. Altovise was lucky to get a picture with her after the event. (pictured at right)
